Overview

Sample collection is an essential part of any IVD test and often a significant source of error for point-of-care and over-the-counter tests. There are now a range of over-the-counter diagnostic tests available to consumers and other users outside of traditional clinical settings. The availability of these tests can bring several benefits, but only if the tests are easy to use and provide reliable results. In this Industry Workshop, we review the range of solutions that are available for sample collection and how these connect to point-of-need diagnostics tests.
